Terms of Service

Hourly Rate

Our charge-out rate is $120 per hour (GST inclusive).

Payment Terms

  • Invoices are generated weekly for ongoing projects. Payment is expected within 5 days.

  • Work will cease if payment is not made; storage fees may apply (see below).

  • For all other jobs, full payment is required on collection.

  • We reserve the right to increase our charge-out rate at any time. Ongoing jobs will be given 5 days’ notice of any increase.

Non-Payment

  • Interest of 2.5% per month may be charged on overdue accounts.

  • All costs incurred in recovering outstanding debts (including legal and collection fees) will be payable by the customer.

  • Debts over 90 days will automatically be referred to Baycorp.

Ownership of Goods

All vehicles, parts, and goods remain the property of Bad Penny Classic & Custom Services Ltd until payment is received in full, unless previously arranged.

Payment Methods

  • Bank transfer preferred. We also accept cash, EFTPOS, and major credit cards.

  • Credit card payments incur a 3% surcharge.

  • We do not offer cash “deals.”

Estimates Only

Due to the nature of our work, we provide estimates only, not fixed quotes.

Storage Fees

  • If a vehicle is paused for reasons beyond the customer’s control (e.g. parts delays, certification), storage fees may be waived at our discretion.

  • If the customer chooses to pause work, and the vehicle remains onsite (space permitting), a storage fee of $50.00 + GST per week will apply.

Wire Wheel Policy

If your vehicle has wire or knock-off wheels, we require you to inspect and sign an acknowledgement form prior to departure.

Reproduction Parts

  • We cannot guarantee the fitment of reproduction parts; additional labour may be required.

  • Aftermarket stainless trim moldings are often of thinner material and may deform during installation. While we take all care, installation is at the customer’s risk.

Post-Work Modifications

Our workmanship is not guaranteed if the vehicle is modified or tampered with after leaving our premises. If issues arise, please contact us first so we can help resolve them.

Rust Repairs

Rust is unpredictable. Repair costs are difficult to estimate until cutting begins. In most cases, damage is worse than it appears. We recommend budgeting for worst-case scenarios.

Deadlines

We do not commit to deadlines for events (e.g. Beach Hop, Americarna, birthdays). We will not rush jobs at the expense of quality or safety.

Out-of-Town Clients

We stand by our work and will happily carry out any necessary remedial repairs. However, it is the client’s responsibility to transport the vehicle to and from our premises. Please factor this in before proceeding.

Insurance

Important: If your vehicle is not insured, it is stored entirely at your own risk while in our care. While we take all reasonable precautions, Bad Penny Classic & Custom Services Ltd is not liable for loss or damage to uninsured vehicles.
